TMA Brings Home 7 PRO Awards

August 6, 2021

At yesterday’s PRO Awards Virtual Gala, TMA brought home seven awards for our Advance Auto Parts and State Farm clients. The PRO Awards, presented by Chief Marketer, recognize the best in promotion marketing and are the benchmark for outstanding creativity and stellar results in the marketing industry. Here’s a look at our winning campaigns.

DieHard is Back

Reliability was in short order in 2020. Nobody knew who they could count on. Advance Auto Parts took that opportunity to relaunch DieHard batteries with John McClane, the living embodiment of reliability, power, and grit. But the world’s greatest action hero couldn’t come back for just a cameo. He needed an original story that made the product central to his success. So TMA and Advance Auto Parts created a short film that had the look and feel of a new Die Hard release. The campaign took gold honors in Best Brand Awareness, Best Buzz, and Best Use of Video and silver for Best Entertainment Sponsorship or Tie-In and Best Integrated Campaign.

State Farm Twitch Charity Streams

State Farm wanted to maintain their top spot in the insurance category but needed to connect with millennials. So, we turned to the place where we know millennials flock: Twitch. But gamers are notorious for calling out brands for being inauthentic. Rather than force-fitting the brand, we deployed a like-minded avid gamer —Jake from State Farm —and teamed up with top streamers to host the State Farm Twitch Charity Streams. The campaign brought home gold in Best Use of Content Marketing and silver in Best Gaming or eSport Campaign.

Congrats to our clients and teams as well as all of the other winners! View the full list here.
