State Farm & TMA Tease Brand’s First Super Bowl Spot

State Farm is gearing up for its first ever in-game commercial for the Super Bowl this year. Get excited…because there will be surprises!

The spot, which will run during the first half of the game, was created by TMA and features NFL MVP contenders and State Farm regulars Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes, Jake from State Farm, and some memorable surprise guests.

Last season during the playoffs, fans united around the possibility of #StateFarmBowl. Then, just before kick-off last year State Farm launched a new campaign that re-introduced Jake from State Farm to the world. The camaraderie between Jake, Rodgers, and Mahomes has been apparent all year long. Now, with both QBs at the top of their conferences and each of them vying for MVP of the league – it only made sense for 2021 to mark the first Super Bowl spot for State Farm.

This year, State Farm wasted no time bringing fans more of what they want. Launching as the playoffs commenced, Jake from State Farm kicked-off a #TeamStateFarm mini campaign, introducing a series of nine new :15 videos that have taken over State Farm social platforms and online video feeds, uniting football fans nationwide with clever tactics from Jake to ensure his leading quarterbacks make it to the Super Bowl.

State Farm gave fans a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of this epic spot during CBS’s annual “Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials” special. Stream the full special now on CBS and CBS All Access.

While Jake from State Farm and his fellow football enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to on the day of the Super Bowl, this campaign signifies more than just a series of new videos, culminating with an epic :30 in-game commercial.

In the last decade, State Farm has become synonymous with the football season, without being an official sponsor of the league. Aaron Rodgers has played a big role in that over the years, and now with Patrick Mahomes a part of Team State Farm, the brand is taking advantage of its unique position to bring fans memorable entertainment through strategically designed campaigns year over year.
